Why Not Use a Page Template?

There is the option you can use page templates to get the same designs and other elements onto numerous pages by adding a page template across numerous pages. Adding a page template to a new page is very easy and we’ve discussed the process in another blog post.

However, you might only want to add a set group of widgets or design elements to a page. For instance, it might be an author section or a FAQ section. If you used a page template, you might need to add lots of new elements or you might need to remove lots of elements.

How to Copy a Section to Another Page in Elementor

The first thing that you need to do is to find the section that you would like to copy the section. What you need to do is to select the text and other widgets that you would like to copy. And then you can use the shortcut keys to copy the sections. For this, it is either Ctrl+D for Mac or Cmd+D for Windows.

This will duplicate the section and store it in your local drive’s system. It will also copy the section with the same name and location. It will also include the selected text and any changes that have been made in the section.

Then you need to find the page where you want to add the section. Then you can paste the duplicated section into the right place.

It takes just a few minutes to do. Remember to save both pages before you exit them to ensure all changes are made.

Using a Template

Another option is to use a template. However, it will require you to have the section duplicated to another page without any other content. And it can get messy. However, it can be a quick way for you to add new content to your website.

Templates can be very useful. But it is important to remember that when you make changes to your template, it will not automatically push the changes to all the pages using the template. You will need to make changes to all the website pages that are using the template. However, that isn’t a major problem when you have a small website. Though it might take more time on larger websites.

Another factor is that you want to ensure that you’ve got the template right. If you don’t, then there will be mistakes on each page.
